Gold-filled Materials:
Nearly all of our jewelry is gold filled. Those that have plated pieces will be mentioned in the product description. Gold filled pieces have about 3 or more layers of ACTUAL gold on top of other metals. Because of this, gold filled jewelry is considered to be tarnish-free, hypoallergenic, and water resistant. However, to extend the longevity of your pieces, it is highly recommended that you avoid having them exposed to harsh-chemicals and clean them with mild soap and water. Gold filled jewelry is superior to gold plated as gold plated tends to tarnish and oxidize quickly because there is one layer of actual gold on top of brass.
Selecting the right size:
Luxie bracelets are meant to fit snugly around the wrist. Please use a tape measurer to measure your wrist and select the closest size available in the dropdown menu. Don't have a tape measurer? Use a string to measure your wrist and then line it up against a ruler!
The sizing available is approximate and we highly encourage that you measure your wrists as the sizing chart is a guide for standard measurements of wrists.
Adult XS: 6 inches

Large: 7.5 inches
Recommendations and Care:
Luxies that are gold-filled can be worn at all times and will not tarnish! However, try to avoid exposure to chemicals and pat bracelet dry after water exposure. Doing so will help make your gold-filled Luxies last a lifetime!
You may notice "dark spots" appear in between the beads of your gold-filled Luxies if worn all the time. This is NOT rust or tarnish. It is residue build up from lotions, soap, and/or skin sweat/oil. If this happens, simply remove your Luxie and soak it in dish of soapy warm water for 5 minutes and then use a soft bristled toothbrush to clean in between the beads. Then pat to dry!
